Syracuse Wide Receiver Transfer Taj Harris to Visit Kentucky

One of the top pass-catchers in the transfer portal is coming to Kentucky’s campus. Former Syracuse wide receiver Taj Harris said he will be in Lexington this weekend to watch the Wildcats take on the Tennessee Volunteers. It is expected to be an official visit.
Harris entered the transfer portal in early October. Within 24 hours Kentucky offered him a scholarship. He has since received offers from N.C. State, Louisville, Auburn, Mississippi and others. Harris also took an official visit to Ole Miss to watch the Rebels defeat LSU.
Harris, a 6’2″ 180 lbs. Beverly, NJ native, has 151 catches for 2,028 yards and ten touchdowns over four seasons. He went over the 100-yard mark in four games. In 2018, the former three-star recruit set Syracuse freshman records with 40 receptions and 565 yards. He was named third-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference in 2020 after totaling 58 catches for 733 yards and five touchdowns. In three games this season, he has 16 catches for 171 yards.

Kentucky struck gold in the transfer portal this offseason, particularly at wide receiver. Can Harris be another Wan’Dale Robinson? The Wildcats certainly hope so.
He will not be the only high profile player on campus this weekend. After attending all of UK’s early season games as an unofficial visitor, Kiyaunta Goodwin is expected to use his official visit for Saturday’s game against Tennessee. The rivalry matchup with the Volunteers will define this season and potentially set the tone for the future of the Kentucky football program.
