Taco Bell losing to Buffalo Wild Wings was a travesty

Today I was witness to one of the most heartbreaking defeats in modern history.

It came in the Final Four of the 2018 KSR Food Bracket when Buffalo Wild Wings eliminated Taco Bell to advance to the championship. Both Ryan Lemond and Shannon The Dude, two people I once trusted, picked B-Dubs over Taco Bell in the opening vote.

I was shocked. I thought they had more integrity than that. Not only are they wrong and stupid and have bum-ass taste buds, but they picked our direct business competitor! I would argue B-Dubs should’ve been voted out in the first round, yet these lunatics somehow pushed it to the finals.

Then it got worse when we opened the vote to the phone lines. Caller after caller (more people I once trusted) picked Buffalo Wild Wing’s, including John Short! The hell John?

After that I thought Taco Bell would get a little help when we polled our live audience, but then they all had the audacity to look me right in my pitiful puppy dog eyes and raise their hands for B-Dubs. All but three of them did! Now I know how Julius Caesar felt when all his Roman senator friends cut him to pieces when he thought things were all good. It was a bunch of Brutuses at the show today. Et tu to all of them.

In the end Buffalo Weak Sauce gets a shot at the KSR Food Bracket trophy. It should be Taco Bell’s spot because Taco Bell is the best restaurant on the planet but we left the voting up to a bunch of spineless people who were too doped up on spicy garlic buffalo sauce and soggy potato wedges to make the obvious pick.

I’m so upset I might write Part 2 of The Taco Bell Diary.

In the meantime let’s read Part 1 to reminisce on happier times.
