Kentucky tight end Tanner Lemaster will enter transfer portal
The transfer portal news got started on Tuesday for the Kentucky football program with multiple players announcing their intentions to leave the program. Kentucky’s roster attrition has now leaked into the early signing period.
Tanner Lemaster is the sixth class of 2023 signee to leave the program with multiple years of eligibility remaining.
The tight end was a three-star prospect out of Washington (Ohio) High located between Cincinnati and Columbus. Tanner Lemaster took a redshirt in 2023 and earned SEC academic honor roll honors. The redshirt freshman only played three offensive snaps in 2024.
Tanner Lemaster becomes a college football free agent with three years of eligibility remaining. On Wednesday, Kentucky added blue-chip tight end Mikkel Skinner to the roster. That gives position coach Vince Marrow five scholarship players with Jordan Dingle, Josh Kattus, Khamari Anderson, and Willie Rodriguez all eligible to return in 2025.
