The Houston native was a class of 2024 recruit who spent his first season in college football at Trinity Valley. The defensive lineman recorded 67 tackles and 11 sacks last season. Tavion Atkinson will spend his sophomore season in junior college before transferring to an FBS program. Multiple schools are involved with the Lonestar State native.
Arizona, SMU, Mississippi State, Georgia, and Texas Tech are other power conference programs to offer. The expectation is that Atkinson will take official visits during the season before making a decision. Kentucky is firmly in the hunt.
Recruiting never stops.
