This weekend was already shaping up to be an important recruiting stretch for Kentucky football, and it just got a little bit more significant.

Class of 2025 three-star cornerback Shamar “Dudie” Arnoux posted to social media on Friday morning that he arrived in Lexington for a visit. Clocking in at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, the Carrollton (GA) High product was previously committed to Tennessee from April 2023 through February 2024. This is an unofficial visit for the rising high school senior.

Arnoux is ranked No. 471 overall by the On3 Industry Ranking and is considered a Top 50 cornerback in the nation.

Arnoux’s arrival in Lexington was unexpected but certainly a welcome surprise. He initially received a scholarship from Kentucky (on his birthday, in fact) all the way back in February 2023. The offer came from UK defensive backs coach Chris Collins. Although Kentucky wasn’t seriously involved in his recruitment the first time around, they appear to be right in the mix for round two.

Along with the ‘Cats, Arnoux holds additional offers from the likes of Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Clemson, Texas A&M, and many more. He has upcoming official visits scheduled with Auburn (June 14) and Georgia (June 21). Arnoux worked out with the Bulldogs in late May, too.
