Terry Wilson will transfer from Kentucky for 2021 season
Terry Wilson’s time at Kentucky may be over, but his time as a college football player is not.
This evening, the senior quarterback announced he would be entering the transfer portal, utilizing the NCAA’s blanket waiver for a free year of eligibility in hopes of playing one final season elsewhere.
“I want to start by saying thank you to the coaching staff at Kentucky for the opportunities I have been given for the past three years. I also want to thank my teammates,” Wilson wrote on his Instagram page. “I have made relationships and memories here that will last a lifetime.
“With that being said, I have decided to enter the transfer portal for my last season of eligibility. Thank you, Kentucky. It’s been a good ride.”

Wilson ends his time in Lexington with a 17-8 record, including wins at Florida, at Tennessee, and at Louisville. The Oklahoma City, OK native is just the second quarterback in UK history to beat the Gators and Volunteers on the road, joining Derrick Ramsey.
The senior quarterback led the Wildcats to two New Year’s bowl wins, with the first coming in 2019 against Penn State in the Citrus Bowl, and the second coming this year against NC State in the 2021 Gator Bowl. He also led UK to its first 10-win season since 1977 in 2018.
Thanks for the memories, Terry.
