Texas A&M transfer WR Raymond Cottrell commits to Kentucky
Raymond Cottrell wasted no time making a decision while on his visit to Kentucky. The Texas A&M transfer wide receiver announced on Saturday morning that he has committed to the Wildcats.
“I didn’t want to make an edit post I wanted to do my own thing thank you to the BBN I thank y’all so much for y’all the support has been real,” Cottrell wrote on social media. “With that being said I WILL BE COMMITING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY #BBN GO WILDCATS!!!!!!”
Cottrell, who started his official visit with UK on Friday, was a four-star talent in the class of 2023. He was the No. 230 player in the 2023 recruiting class according to the On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound outside receiver from Milton, FL, made his collegiate debut in Texas A&M’s season-opening win over New Mexico. A few weeks later he caught his first touchdown, a 13-yard reception, against ULM.
Cottrell maintained his redshirt status by playing in less than four games in 2023, giving him four years to play at Kentucky. He announced that he would enter his name into the portal on Nov. 12 and committed to UK less than a month later. For more on what Cottrell brings to the Wildcats, check out KSR’s Bio Blast here.
