Texas WBB edits tweet about Drake to remove subtle shot at Kentucky
One of the biggest stories of the summer was Kentucky visiting Drake’s house in Toronto. While in Canada for the GLOBL Jam, the Cats received the VIP treatment at the rapper’s mansion, making themselves at home in his pool and gym while he was on tour. The visit made headlines across the sports and pop culture worlds, and if you doubted its reach, another college basketball program called it out last night.
While in Austin for his “It’s All a Blur” tour, Drake surprised the Texas Women’s Basketball team on Tuesday, stopping by their locker room while wearing a Longhorns jersey. The team’s social media team tweeted out a video of the very cool moment with the caption “We don’t have to go to Drake’s house…he comes to ours”:
Twelve minutes later, the tweet was revised to say, “Thanks for stopping by”:
Is it the social media shot heard around the world? Of course not, but clearly someone was told to remove any reference to the Cats, which is good for a laugh on a Wednesday afternoon. Hopefully, it’s only a matter of time before Drake visits Kentucky’s house again…Big Blue Madness, perhaps?

Even though her time as a Wildcat is over, she keeps her former teammates close. While Drake was in the Texas locker room, Herron face-timed Robyn Benton, who graduated from UK in May.
Benton, who now plays professionally in Spain, shared the moment and story behind it on her Instagram story:
