The 15 Best Pieces of UK Memorabilia on eBay
News is a bit slow these days, so, as we like to do from time to time, I thought I’d spend the day scouring eBay for the most interesting UK memorabilia. As always, the results were pretty impressive. Here are the 15 best things I found:
Anything with Doron Lamb’s signature
We’ve been familiar with Lamb’s loopy cursive for years, but it never fails to entertain. For $9.99 (plus shipping), you can get an autographed Doron Lamb rookie card, or, for $79.99, a D. Lamb autographed basketball backboard:
I’m pretty sure that’s not a backboard, it’s just a frame with some white tape on the glass, but whatever, it’s got D. Lamb’s signature on it! Honestly, I might pay $79.99 just to watch Doron tweet for two hours, but spend your money how you’d like.
A Kentucky Basketball “Oh! The Places You’ll Go!” Dr. Seuss t-shirt: $13.94
Looking for the perfect gift the high school senior in your life who’s headed to UK in the fall? Or maybe even just a high school senior that loves the Cats? Look no further than this “Dr. Seuss Goes to College” Kentucky Basketball tee, which they may or may not appreciate more than the actual book.
“Another Friendly Game” Kentucky Wildcat basketball print by Daryl Benningfield: $35.55
Some people translate their passion for the Cats into art. There are endless Kentucky Wildcat-themed paintings and prints, many of which feature other teams’ mascots, such as the one above. I love a lot of stuff about this Daryl Benningfield print:
- The Duke Blue Devil crying in the corner
- A Louisville Cardinal serving what may or may not be roasted cardinal with a tea towel inscripted wtih all of UK’s championships to that point
- The Ole Miss Rebel, who is disproportionately small compared to the others. Why is he so small? Also, if he’s that small, there’s no way he can properly use that pool stick. Just saying
- That the UT mascot is named “Foggy” instead of “Smokey.” I’m not sure if that’s a burn, but I like it.
- The IU stool is tipped over, a nod to Bobby Knight?
- For some reason, Mike the Tiger is wearing cowboy boots.
Really, a hilarious addition to your man-cave or den, all for just $35.55.
UK/SEC “CatNIP” mascot figurine: $149.99
Some of the mascot-themed art isn’t so jovial. Check out this figurine, which features five Wildcats (for the five starters, natch) devouring the other SEC mascots, as well as some Cardinals.
That’s pretty dark. If you don’t have $150 to spend and still want to keep things pretty macabre, how about…
“Big Blue Barbecue” print: $14.99
Savor UK’s win over Kansas in the 2012 National Championship game with the “Big Blue Barbecue” 11″x14″ print, only $14.99. Man, that Jayhawk sure was tasty!

Drew Franklin’s birthday is coming up, so get ready for a bidding war!
Alex Groza autograph: $149.99
Want to own a piece of Kentucky basketball history? How about the autograph of UK great Alex Groza before the point shaving scandal? Sure to be a conversation piece!
“In Billy We Trust” XXL t-shirt: $8.88
You know, to remember all the good times.
2015 SEC Tournament Basketball Champions “Still Perfect” T-Shirt: $22.99
Nope, still too soon.
1988-89 CATS PAUSE Yearbook featuring Richie Farmer: $34.81
Looking back, the headline on the cover could have several different meanings. In fact, if Richie were to ever write an autobiography, that could be the first line:
“It looked like it wasn’t going to happen…but it did. Were the VCRs and fax machines really worth all the trouble and nearly two years in jail? I guess the more important question is, have you seen the tapes?”
2014-2015 Kentucky Wildcats Tipoff Magazine featuring Brian Long (unsigned): $13.45
I’m pretty sure they give these away for free at games, but if you missed out, or you just really love Brian Long, you’re in luck. I know Brian would appreciate it. Free shipping!
Three 1978 headline newspapers, “KENTUCKY beats DUKE” Wins NCAA Basketball CHAMPIONSHIP: $68
Now, this would be pretty cool, especially if it was from a local paper. But the Cleveland Plain Dealer? The game didn’t even take place there, it happened in St. Louis. Regardless, these three old sports sections with mostly Cleveland sports stories could be yours for $68.
An autographed picture of Ashley Judd kissing Dick Vitale: $16.49
This was from last year’s SEC Tournament, but honestly, an autographed picture of what happened next would be worth way more:
Autographed picture of Matt and Ryan: $49.99
Wait, what?! Please don’t pay $50 for this.
