The betting spread has gone in the opposite direction this week, but it certainly feels like Kentucky is a live dog heading on the road to face a ranked Ole Miss squad.

After the spread opened up at four, the line quickly moved north. At Draft Kings, the number sits at seven heading into the weekend. However, there seems to be some real value with the Cats.

ESPN’s Chris “The Bear” Fallica is best known for his against the spread (ATS) picks that are shown on “College GameDay” every Saturday. As gambling content has started to become more prevalent, Fallica has seen his air time increase and has built a strong following.

The researcher at the Worldwide Network publishes a weekly gambling column at ESPN where he is a red hot 17-6-1 ATS on the season. Fallica has twice been on Kentucky game picking the Cats as a dog against Florida and fading them as a big home favorite against Northern Illinois.

To preview Week 5, The Bear joined Greg McElroy on the “Always College Football” podcast and once again loves Kentucky as a road dog this weekend.

“Give me points and give me a little sprinkle on the moneyline as well on this game,” Fallica said about underdog Kentucky in the matchup with Ole Miss. “You and I both know Mark Stoops very well, and this is the type of game that he lives for. His team being disrespected despite having the tougher competition, despite having won already on the road at Florida, despite the 10-win season that they had. People still tend to kind of dismiss Kentucky as a legitimate college football team. I really like Kentucky in this spot.”

“I think the pieces are in place here for a potential upset. Give me UK plus the points and give me a little moneyline as well.”

The Bear isn’t the only one on the Cats this week. Both Drew Franklin and Nick Roush are holding Kentucky (+7) tickets after rolling with the road dog in KSR’s “Pick 3”. Sounds like Kentucky might just be a live dog on Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
