It did not feel like Kentucky was playing on the road Saturday afternoon. Kentucky fans flooded Vanderbilt Stadium to watch the Wildcats take down the Commodores. The announced attendance was 22,328. At least 70 percent of the fans in the stands were wearing blue. The picture above is from kickoff, but even more filled the stands throughout the rest of the stadium before the conclusion of the first quarter. "It felt good. It's always good. Thank you to the fans that showed up," Mark Stoops said after the win. "We hear you on the road. It was a great feeling tonight to see a lot of blue up there and to hear them. And they made a difference and our players really enjoyed it." He's exactly right. Lynn Bowden shared his gratitude for the impressive turnout. "I'm thankful for them. I went and told everyone that stayed until the end. They mean a lot. They may not know it, but I mean what I say. They mean a lot. I love Big Blue Nation and I wouldn't want to be nowhere else," said Bowden. Bowden wasn't the only one who thanked the fans after the game. Kavosiey Smoke saluted all of the fans once the UK Marching Band completed My Old Kentucky Home. https://twitter.com/RoushKSR/status/1195853225787871232 Vince Marrow could not reach out to every single fan in person, so he simply shared his gratitude on Twitter. https://twitter.com/vincemarrow/status/1195853880808083456 You people are crazy.
