The Memorial Memo (EP. 8): Cats Suffer First Loss of the Season
Episode 8 of The Memorial Memo is LIVE!
To open the show, we talk about Kentucky’s first loss of the season, a 19-point loss at North Carolina. It wasn’t pretty, but of all the games to lose to this point in the season, that’s the one to lose. Then, we go over the win over Queens in Historic Memorial Coliseum, highlighting Amelia Hassett‘s big night while also looking at what the victory means for the program moving forward.
Then, to wrap up Episode 8 of The Memorial Memo, we preview the Kentucky-Purdue game that will take place at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday (yes, it is unfortunately at the same time as the Kentucky-Louisville men’s game). The Boilermakers have a deceiving 5-4 record given that three of their losses came against Top 10 teams, but this is still a must-win for the Cats because a loss in West Lafayette would fall in the Quad 4 category — the worse kind of loss a team can have on their NCAA Tournament resume.
The Memorial Memo airs at 6 p.m. ET on the KSR YouTube Channel, and it’ll be available on the “Kentucky Sports Radio Podcast Network” feed wherever you get your podcasts afterwards.
