The Numbers Behind Kentucky-Georgia
Kentucky Basketball moved to 2-1 in league play on Saturday with a win over the University of Georgia, one of the SEC’s bottom-feeders under Tom Crean. Crean brought his Dawgs to Lexington but didn’t bring any bite with them, losing to No. 16 Kentucky in Rupp Arena, 92-77.
There is plenty to dissect from Kentucky’s twelfth win of the 2021-22 season, including John Calipari’s postgame comments that are currently being spoken. Stick around Kentucky-Sports-Radio-dot-com for all of your postgame needs. For now, spend a few minutes looking over the box score, if you want, for a closer look at how it all went down on the floor.

Some stats that stand out from the contest, followed by the mathematics:
— TyTy Washington made history. Filling in at the point for Sahvir Wheeler, Washington had 17 assists in the win, breaking John Wall’s school record at Kentucky (16). Fair to say Washington can run the show when needed?
— Oscar Tshiebwe’s and 29 and 17. TWENTY-NINE AND SEVENTEEN! And somehow, it felt normal for the big fella.
— Mintz caught fire. Like Washington, Mintz made the most of his new role with Wheeler out. The veteran guard played 30 minutes and hit five of seven 3-pointers for a new season-high 19 points.
— 23 assists to seven turnovers. No Wheeler, no problem.
