The Numbers Behind Kentucky's Blowout Win over North Carolina

Some blowout wins feel better than others. Saturday’s 29-point Kentucky victory over North Carolina was sweeter than a Christmas cookie.
The box score from Kentucky’s 98-69 victory is a thing of beauty. The only thing missing is a third digit in the scoring column for the Cats. Before we dive into the numbers, a few that jump out:
- Sahvir Wheeler was only one point away from a career-high, scoring a season-high 26 points on 12-of-15 shots. He’s the only Kentucky Wildcat over the last 25 seasons with 25+ points, 5+ assists and 4 steals in a single game.
- Oscar Tshiebwe had another double-double. Surprise, surprise.
- Kentucky had 54 points in the paint, 14 in transition, 15 second chance points and 19 points from the bench.
