[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1054"] Image via ComicBookResources.com[/caption] If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, I suggest you go check out this mural that was just finished in Cynthiana. The Walking Dead's co-creator and original artist Tony Moore was born in Cynthiana, and current writer and co-creator Robert Kirkman is from nearby Richmond, so Roger Slade, owner of the Rohs Opera House downtown, commissioned Portuguese artist Sergio Odeith to paint a tribute to them on the side of the Opera House. Odeith spent six days and 70 cans of paint bringing four of the series' lead characters -- Sheriff Rick Grimes; his son, Carl; Michonne; and Daryl Dixon -- to life, and the results are pretty spectacular.  You've probably seen another of Odeith's works, the huge 30-by-70 foot mural of Louis Armstrong on the side of the Lighthouse Ministries building on Elm Tre Lane in Lexington. The 40-year-old Odeith specializes in large-scale murals with a pop culture flair. This one of Breaking Bad's Walt and Jessie near Lisbon, Portugal, is also great: So, the next time you're in the Cynthiana area, check out Odeith's latest masterpiece. Just watch your back, because, you know, zombies. Here's what's on our agenda...

The Peach Jam starts today

The most important recruiting event of the year begins today in North Augusta, South Carolina, and all 14 of UK's targets in the 2017 class will be there, along with our own Nick Roush. Nick gave you a great preview of the event last night, which I encourage you to check out. Here's the games we'll be keeping an eye on this afternoon and evening:
  • 5:30 p.m.: Houston Hoops (Jarred Vanderbilt) vs. CP3 (Wendell Carter)
  • 7:00 p.m.: E1T1 (Kevin Knox) vs. The Rens (Hamidou Diallo)
  • 7:00 p.m.: King James vs. Mokan Elite (Trae Young)
  • 8:30 p.m.: Expressions Elite (Tremont Waters, Nick Richards) vs. Team Takeover
Nick will have highlights throughout the evening, so check back in for updates.

More NBA Summer League action

Last night, Trey Lyles and James Young put on a show in the Utah Summer League, turning in 26 and 17 points, respectively. The two were the best players on the floor in the Jazz/Celtics showdown, and their performances were good enough to earn them a break this afternoon; however, three more Cats will be back in action in the Orlando league:
  • 3:00 p.m.: Dallas (Marquis Teague) vs. Charlotte (Aaron Harrison)
  • 5:00 p.m.: Indiana vs. Oklahoma City (Dakari Johnson)
Both games will be televised on NBATV.

The current team was back at it in early workouts

Team leader Isaiah Briscoe shared this picture of the group at the Nutter Field House early this morning: https://twitter.com/ZayBriscoe/status/750645888884809728

Calipari offered a 2019 small forward last night

While our sights are set on the 2017 class, Calipari is wasting no time handing out offers to the 2018 and 2019 classes as well. Last night, he offered DJ Jeffries, a 2019 small forward out of Memphis. The 6'7" 185 lbs. Jeffries already has offers from Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, Memphis, and Iowa State, along with interest from Kansas, Alabama, and North Carolina. Calipari said he's going to try some new things in recruiting this summer...is offering kids this early one of them?

Michael Jordan spotted playing pickup in Idaho

Okay, it's not really Michael Jordan, but the video's still great, as is his vintage Bulls warm-up suit: https://twitter.com/JonesOnTheNBA/status/750345856436490240?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
