When you look at the list of the last few teams left out, and the last few teams in... one thing is crystal clear:
The Winner: The Little Guy
The Loser: Power Conferences
Out of the bubble teams sweating it out this Sunday, the Selection Committee seemed to value the smaller conference schools this year as opposed to the power conference schools. That has not always been the case with the committee. The Mountain West got 5 bids, while the SEC got just 3. Take a look at the list of the teams who had their bubbles burst vs. the teams who just made the field:
