Good Sunday morning, BBN! Left’s kick off the end of your weekend the right way — by rounding up some of yesterday’s news and getting you ready for what’s in-store today.

Tyler Herro and girlfriend Katya Elise Henry announce they are expecting a baby

Yesterday afternoon, the former Wildcat announced on social media he is going to be a father.

“Don’t need a wishlist, I’m already gifted,” wrote Herro. Congratulations to Tyler and Katya!

Tim Couch named to College Hall of Fame ballot

The National Football Foundation (NFF) and the College Football Hall of Fame recently released the class of 2022 ballot with a plethora of former players to go along with a handful of former coaches, including Kentucky’s very own Tim Couch.

It’s his ninth straight year on the ballot, and given his incredibly impressive resume, it seems as though it’s only a matter of time till the former No. 1 overall pick gets in.

Draft buzz builds for Boston and Jackson

Two Wildcats cracked the first round in Jeff Goodman’s 2021 debut mock draft for Stadium. Here’s where he slotted Isaiah Jackson and Brandon Boston Jr., as well as what he had to say about each prospect:

18. Oklahoma City Thunder (from Miami) – Isaiah Jackson, 6-10, 210, PF, Fr., Kentucky

Jackson is raw and still a major work in progress, but displayed glimpses of someone who can be a big-time defender and rim runner at the next level. It’ll just take time. Jackson needs to put on weight, but he’s long and athletic, can run the court well, and can impact the game with his ability to alter and block shots.

24. Houston Rockets (from Milwaukee) – Brandon Boston Jr., 6-7, 185, SG, Fr., Kentucky

Boston is ultra-long and can score, although he struggled to do that for much of his time at Kentucky as a freshman. But he could become a Brandon Ingram-type of player due to his body frame and the potential to score consistently as he adds strength.

Isaiah Briscoe declares for 2021 Big3 Draft

The former Wildcat could be taking his talents to the Big3, a 3-on-3 basketball league founded by Ice Cube in 2017.

Briscoe spent the past season with the Iowa Wolves, the G-League squad associated with the Minnesota Timberwolves. His last stint in the NBA came in 2019 with the Orlando Magic, where he averaged 3.5 points and 2.2 assists per game.
