Today on KSR: Hearts Out to the Hefty Lefty

A beloved figure of the BBN and a friend of KSR needs our prayers today. Jared Lorenzen's family passed along a message to our fearless leader Matt Jones last night stating that the Hefty Lefty was battling a series of medical problems.

News has been slow recently, so today, keep your focus on lifting up one of UK's favorite sons. Hopefully we will have a positive update for you soon enough.
Today is actually my last day with KSR. It has been a privilege to write about some of the biggest stories playing out at UK over the last three years all while taking them in as a student as well. A few of you might know that my next chapter involves heading to grad school at (braces for impact) Duke University. Rest assured that this Kentucky boy will always bleed the right shade of blue, and may at some point next year get tossed out of Cameron Indoor Stadium for waltzing in wearing head to toe UK gear. Who knows, maybe Coach K gets sucked into the FBI recruiting investigations and I can become an on-location reporter. Only time will tell. Regardless, thank you all for reading any of my work here, and I'm looking forward to whatever the future holds. Go Cats. -Jay Winkler
