Today On KSR: How about that awkward speech last night?

The 2019 Oscars was held last night and there is lots to say about it, but I'm only interested in talking about the makeup and hair crew from Vice and their painfully awkward acceptance speech. It stole the entire show, in my opinion, and it should be remembered for decades to come as the worst awards show acceptance speech of all time. As I sat there watching Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoe and Patricia Dehaney fumble over their pre-written words, I was pulling at my hair and yelling at the TV to please stop. Poor Greg Cannom appeared to realize it was going poorly, but the woman in the middle, Kate Biscoe, wasn't breaking from the plan; she was going down in flames while holding that piece of paper and encouraging the others to read from the script. I'm sure all three are very nice people and I'm sure Vice is a wonderful movie with wonderful hair and makeup, but their acceptance speech was cringeworthy. And that was your Monday morning Oscars talk.   Where will Kentucky be ranked today? Probably fourth. Almost certainly fourth. There will be some movement at the top, though, thanks to Duke's home loss to North Carolina. Second-ranked Gonzaga will move to the No. 1 overall spot; third-ranked Virginia might jump to No. 2 over Duke, although the two losses to Duke could prevent that; then Duke will likely fall to third, one spot ahead of the Cats. We'll know for sure later this afternoon. For what it's worth, Seth Davis ranked Kentucky first in his new rankings. Joel Justus will answer questions today. UK assistant Joel Justus will fill in for John Calipari today during UK's pre-Arkansas press conference in Lexington. Justus will be available to discuss Saturday's blowout of Auburn, what to expect from Arkansas, and the latest on the injured Reid Travis. The UK women's team won on Senior Day. In her second-to-last home game as a Wildcat, Taylor Murray scored 18 points to lead Kentucky to a 57-52 victory over LSU. Murray was recognized prior to the game as part of the Senior Day celebration, alongside fellow seniors Maci Morris, LaShae Halsel and Paige Poffenberger. The win pushed the 16th-ranked Cats to 23-5 on the year with only two games to play (vs. Texas A&M, at Georgia). Win one of the two and UK will earn a double-bye in the SEC Tournament. And while we're on the subject, I can't find a UK Women's Basketball sweatshirt anywhere. Where are they hiding? Michigan State earned a huge win over Michigan. Big Ten action took centerstage on Sunday with a meeting of two top-10 teams as Michigan hosted Michigan State in Ann Arbor. Michigan State was short-handed with one of its best players, Nick Ward, out for the game, yet the Spartans still got it done by winning the game, 77-70. It was a big, big, big win for Tom Izzo's bunch. A dog is the best receiver in the AAF. https://twitter.com/JCCarnz/status/1099555482270945280 Tune in to KSR radio in an hour.
