Welcome to Saturday, Big Blue Nation. This is going to be a jam-packed day.
The Wildcats are set to introduce their new basketball coaches, KSR has some boots on the ground in Memphis for the Iverson Classic and the Bat 'Cats look to bounce back after a gutwrenching loss on Friday night.
Let's get caught up to speed.
Orlando Antigua and Chin Coleman will be officially introduced
At 11:00 a.m., Kentucky will officially introduce its new assistant coaches in a virtual press conference. KSR will be present to provide updates on what is said by the new two basketball staffers.
We'll get to hear Antigua talk about his return to Lexington and what his role will be on the staff. This will be the first real-time most of us have heard from Coleman, so today we'll get to learn a little bit more about his background and what the recruiting plan for the staff could look like.
Stay tuned as Kentucky has officially turned the page to the 2021-22 season. Now it is time to go find a point guard.
Expect Michigan to court Steve Clinkscale
Football coaching changes in May are just going to be hard to get used to. The domino effect is still happening, and Michigan now has a prominent opening.
Thanks to Kansas hiring away Buffalo head coach Lance Leipold, that created a MAC head coaching opportunity. After a quick search, UB appears to have landed on Michigan co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist.
Now Jim Harbaugh -- who has a brand
new reconstructed contact for less money and has already rebuilt nearly his entire staff -- must find a new assistant on the defensive side.

To no one's surprise, Steve Clinkscale's name
is being linked to an opening at Michigan. Just last offseason, new Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker had very high interest in adding Clinkscale to his staff. This should be no surprise thanks to the recruiting success the cornerbacks coach has had in Detroit
Clinkscale
currently makes $500,000 per season while Linguist came in at $680,000 after moving to Ann Arbor from the NFL. If Michigan is truly interested, Kentucky may have to get out the checkbook to assure that one of their best recruiters stays on staff.
Kentucky makes Sahvir Wheeler's final four
Georgia transfer point guard Sahvir Wheeler is still in the recruiting process, but the diminutive lefty dribble creator
narrowed his list yesterday.
The transfer point guard is down to four schools: LSU, Kansas, Kentucky, and Oklahoma State. In the nearly 10-minute video released on Wheeler's personal Instagram account, the transfer revealed each school and talked about the potential fit in each program.
Right now, the plan is for Wheeler's decision to become before the end of May but no announcement date has been scheduled. Something for all of us to monitor as John Calipari continues to build out his roster.
Klutch Sports Group honors Terrence Clarke
Yesterday in Boston, the family and friends of Terrence Clarke laid their friend
to rest two weeks after the young man lost his life in a tragic car accident. However, those that are close to Clarke are going to continue to remember him.

"Inspired by Terrence’s creativity and love of fashion, top brands, including Terrence’s favorites Chinatown Market, Rhude, and SP5DER, are joining Klutch Sports in creating custom items with all proceeds from sales going to the Clarke Family Fund," wrote Klutch Sports on social media on Friday.
The sports agency and family plan on remembering their friend by setting up this clothing line. If interested in any items, they can all be checked out at

Kentucky baseball loses heartbreaker
After Kentucky jumped out to a 2-0 lead early, the Wildcats and Gators went through a slugfest over the next few innings at Kentucky Proud Park on Friday night. In the bottom of the eighth, Kentucky plated one run and held a 5-4 lead going into the final frame.
Then everything fell apart.
After tying the game at 5, Florida's Kendrick Calileo delivered a three-run bomb over the left-center wall to give the Gators an 8-5 lead and a monster victory. Earlier in the inning, there was a very questionable ball/strike call that allowed play to continue.
Now it is back to the drawing board and the two squads will take the field this afternoon for the rubber match. The first pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
Iverson Roundball Classic Day Two
Down in Memphis, the premiere Iverson Classic high school all-star game will tip off tonight with Kentucky signees Daimion Collins and Bryce Hopkins in the lineup. Five-star point guard Tyty Washington will also be on the court.

However, there is no traditional television coverage for this event. If interested in watching, there is a subscription stream available at
Suv. Our own Zack Geoghegan and Jack Pilgrim will be there in person to provide updates throughout the event.
