Well, it wasn't the prettiest but Kentucky did come home with a 24-17 win over the Golden Eagles yesterday. The offensive line struggled and Benny Snell out of the Wildcat didn't work in the Cats' favor, but more of that later. For now, just rejoice in the fact that Kentucky started the season 1-0, beat Shannon Dawson and football is back. Watch the highlights here Prep for the home opener begins Kentucky's next opponent, EKU, fell 31-17 to WKU in Bowling Green last night and will stay on the road next weekend as they make the trip from Richmond to Lexington to help the Cats christen Kroger Field. The Cats barely scrapped out a win against the Colonels last time they visited. Don't worry, there will be no shortage of coverage as the Cats gear up for their home opener this week. Stay tuned. *** I'm sad to say this will be my last KSR for the time being. After three awesome and fun years, its time to move on to something new as I begin an internship with UK Athletic's Media Relations department. Many thanks to Matt, Drew, Tyler and Nick for giving me the opportunity and Maria for putting up with my crap on pretty much a daily basis. Peace out, y'all.
