Today on KSR: The Warriors are Human

The Golden State Warriors' kryptonite has been uncovered and it's in the form of injuries. Playing without Kevin Durant or Klay Thompson, Golden State did not have enough ammunition at The Oracle. Steph Curry had a playoff career-high 47 points, but it was the Raptors who took control of the series. Kawhi Leonard scored 30 points, Kyle Lowry had 23-9 and Danny Green hit six three-pointers to lead Toronto to a 123-109 game three victory. If the Warriors don't get their act together in Friday's game four, they may have dug a hole too deep for even Durant and Thompson to help them climb out of. There are a few more NBA stories to get to, but first, we have the most significant Kerry Blackshear Jr. news since he announced his intentions to leave Virginia Tech.

Kerry Blackshear Jr. Visits Florida

Late last night the Big Blue Nation received some bad news. According to the Blackshear whisperer Corey Evans, today the talented Virginia Tech grad transfer will begin an official visit to Florida. He'll make the short drive from his hometown of Orlando to Gainesville. This news comes as a surprise to Kentucky fans and coaches, who expected to land Blackshear's first official visit. Things tend to move quickly for grad transfers. If the Cats can convince the talented power forward to just take a visit to Lexington, it will be a win. However, Florida will push for Blackshear to make a decision before he leaves campus. If he does pull the trigger to play for his home state school, the Gators will be scary in 2019-20.

Vince Carter will Retire

One of the most explosive players in NBA history will break one more record before he hangs up his sneakers for good. Yesterday Vince Carter announced the 2019-20 season will be his last. "I've got one more in me," Carter said on The Jump. "One more run." Next year will be Carter's 22nd NBA season, a new record, breaking the mark held by Dirk Nowitzki, Robert Parish, Kevin Willis and Kevin Garnett. One of the last superstars still in the league from my childhood, he helped me learn an early lesson: trying to dunk and put your arm through a rim is painful, even on a 7.5-foot goal. Carter's news still wasn't the biggest of the day.

Paul Pierce's Revelation

Eleven years ago, Paul Pierce was infamously taken off the court in a wheelchair. After only a few minutes in the locker room, he returned to action to help the Boston Celtics win game one of the 2008 NBA Finals. John Calipari is taking his new Kentucky basketball team to Elizabethtown for this afternoon's satellite camp. Kentucky football official visitors arrived on campus yesterday afternoon. One of the first things the football stars were treated to was a crawfish boil. D-Day 75

At this moment 75 years ago, the world changed on the beaches of Normandy thanks to more than a million courageous Allied soldiers.
