Drew here, typing a few words before the KSR crew boards an airplane for Boise, Idaho, best known as the "City of Trees," according to Google. Boise is one of those fictional places I never in a million years thought I'd visit in my life, yet here I am, packing my best potato-eating clothes for five days of it. Thanks a lot, NCAA. But before we #wheelsup, I've been tasked with today's edition of the morning post. So let's run through what's happening in the world today...   Kentucky got its first commitment from the Class of 2019. John Calipari received a commitment from D.J. Jeffries, a five-star forward out of the Memphis area, last night. Jeffries picked the Cats over Mississippi State and Alabama, and ESPN.com says he has a chance to be a star at the next level. The addition of Jeffries is also important because it further helps UK's chances with James Wiseman, Calipari's top target in the class, who happens to be Jeffries' AAU teammate. Together, they could make a very nice package deal out of Memphis, where Tubby Smith did not recruit Jeffries, for some odd reason. For plenty more on Jeffries, read our "Need To Know" on him: http://kentuckysportsradio.com/main/need-to-know-dj-jeffries/ The NCAA Tournament begins today! The Dayton action gets going with two play-in games Tuesday night:

6:40 pm | (16) LIU Brooklyn vs. (16) Radford | TruTV

9:10 pm | (11) St. Bonaventure vs. (11) UCLA | TruTV

You know what that means? It's that time of year when we have to find TruTV. John Calipari does not expect Jarred Vanderbilt will play this weekend. For Kentucky to advance to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament, it sounds like they'll have to do it without Jarred Vanderbilt. During Monday's SEC teleconference, Coach Cal provided a not-so-positive update on his injured forward, saying, "If he’s not able to go full bore, I’m not playing him – for him or for us. If he is at 85, 90 percent, I don’t think I’d play him... So my guess would be hard this weekend. He wants to play, but I just don’t see it right now being able to put him in there and feel comfortable about it.” When asked about next weekend, Cal said, "Maybe, maybe." Kentucky's title odds down to 16/1. After opening at 28/1 Sunday night, Kentucky has been bet down to 16/1 to win the NCAA Championship. The Cats are at 15/2 to win the South Region, while our friends from Tennessee are 6/1 to reach the Final Four out of the South. Remember: Don't gamble. But if you do, good luck. R.I.P. Craig Mack. The "Flava In Ya Ear" rapper died of heart failure at the young age of 46 last night. Get your day going with his music, if you're into that type of stuff: Matt and Ryan also have some "Flava In Ya Ear." They have two hours of KSR coming your way before we leave for Tree City or whatever it's called. Tune in at 10 am and give them a call to send them off to the tournament. Go Cats.
