Kentucky transfer Tomiwa Durojaiye commits to West Virginia
Kentucky defensive lineman Tomiwa Durojaiye entered the transfer portal on April 26. The former three-star recruit has found a new college football destination two weeks later.
The redshirt freshman transfer committed to West Virginia on Thursday afternoon.
Tomiwa Durojaiye was the No. 684 ranked prospect in the class of 2022, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Durojaiye played in three games for the Wildcats this season logging 22 total snaps against Miami (Ohio), Youngstown State, and Iowa. A loaded defensive line room may have been the ultimate factor in Durojaiye deciding to leave the Kentucky program after spending three semesters in Lexington after being an early enrollee.

Following a visit to Colorado and West Virginia, Durojaiye committed to Neal Brown‘s Big 12 program. WVU was a finalist for Durojaiye in high school when he picked Kentucky over the Mountaineers, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt.
As a senior at Middletown (Del.) High, Durojaiye recorded 58 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. Kentucky will enter the 2023 season with 12 scholarship players in defensive line coach Anwar Stewart‘s position room. Durojaiye becomes the third 2022 signee to leave Kentucky for a Power Five program this offseason joining Kobi Albert (Mississippi State) and Kiyaunta Goodwin (Florida). Fellow 2022 signee Andre Stewart is still a free agent.
