Top 15 prospect Nate Ament announces Kentucky offer
After four-star point guard Acaden Lewis announced an offer from Kentucky during his unofficial visit to Lexington on Monday, another class of 2025 recruit also announced a scholarship from the Wildcats a few hours later.
Nate Ament, a 6-foot-9, 170-pound wing out of Virginia, posted to social media earlier this afternoon that he has received an offer from Kentucky assistant coach Cody Fueger. Ranked No. 15 overall by the On3 Industry Ranking, Ament also holds offers from the likes of Duke, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Kansas, Louisville, Tennessee, Michigan, Indiana, and plenty more.
Of note, Ament was recruited to BYU when Fueger was an assistant for the Cougars under new Kentucky head coach Mark Pope. UK first reached out in late April and has continued to build a relationship ever since.
So far, Ament has taken unofficial visits to both Virginia Tech and Duke, although both happened back in September. He does not currently have official visits scheduled at this time.

Earlier this month, Pope traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina to watch Ament (among a few other Kentucky targets) suit up for Team USA in the FIBA U18 AmeriCup, where the Americans won all six games en route to receiving another gold medal on the international stage. In a limited role off the bench, Ament averaged 3.7 points per outing on 41.2 percent shooting.
On the AAU circuit, Ament plays for Team Loaded in the adidas 3SSB league. He’s teammates with five-star class of 2025 point guard Mikel Brown Jr., who announced an offer from the Wildcats on June 13. Ament averaged 20.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, two assists, and 1.5 blocks per game for Team Loaded this spring.
