The NBA Cats are off to a red hot start to the new year so it's time we checked in to see which guys are playing the best. Five spots wasn't enough this week so I present to you the Top 7 UK players in the NBA so far in 2015: 7. Jodie Meeks Alot has been made over the Pistons going on a 7 game win streak after waiving Josh Smith. Perhaps what is more telling is Detroit's 9-5 record since Jodie Meeks returned from injury. Without Jodie, the Pistons were a horrible 3-17. With Jodie in the lineup the Pistons are able to spread the floor with a legitimate threat from 3-point land. Which is what the desperately  lacked with Smith playing that role. Meeks is averaging 11.8 ppg so far in 2015, and the Pistons are currently taking on Brooklyn. 6. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Here's another guy who returns to the lineup and his team's fortunes miraculously change. Charlotte has won 5 in a row to move just 1.5 games back from the 8th playoff spot in the East. MKG has been killing it so far in January with an average of 11.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. After beating the hapless Knicks earlier today the Hornets will get a break until Wednesday when they take on the Spurs. 5. Brandon Knight It's too bad Brandon Knight is on Milwaukee, because it would be really fun to watch him play. Knight is heading towards restricted free agency and he's certainly playing like it this season. So far in January he's averaging 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game and the Bucks have gone 3-2. After a decent first 3 years in the league BK finally looks like he's on the way to super stardom. 4. Eric Bledsoe It seems Eric Bledsoe and the Suns are going to occupy the 8th seed in the Western conference from wire to wire this season. For the new year, Phoenix has won 4 of 5 and Bledsoe has averaged 16.6 points, 7.4 assists, and 5 rebounds. The Western Conference is loaded with elite point guards so it's hard to see Bled making his first all-star appearance. Still, he's putting up some nice numbers out in the desert. 3. John Wall Wall and the Wizards have slid into the 2-seed in the Eastern conference but that's now 3-games behind the blazing Hawks. In 2015 Wall has already posted 3 double-doubles while averaging 15.6 points, 10.4 assists, and 3 rebounds. If everyone can stay healthy the Wizards could be a real threat to win the East. 2. Anthony Davis 20 points. 9.8 rebounds. 2.8 blocks. 2 assists. A record of 2-2. That's how Anthony Davis has started off 2015. Great numbers for sure but it isn't quite enough to keep the Pelicans in the playoff picture. New Orleans has fallen 2.5 games behind Phoenix for the 8th seed and Oklahoma City is right on their trail. AD is playing like an MVP but he needs some more help before he's playing on a contender. 1. DeMarcus Cousins [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="648"] The face I'll make if Big Cuz isn't an all-star[/caption] 23 points. 12.5 rebounds. 2.8 blocks. 2 assists. A record of 2-2. That's how DeMarcus Cousins has started off 2015. Cousins' numbers stack up against any center in the Western Conference and you can see he is playing on the same level as Anthony Davis. Both former Cats should be on their way to NYC but the bout with viral meningitis earlier this year could leave Cuz on the outside looking in. Do your part and vote for the big man along with all the former Cats.
