The contact period in college football recruiting has sent Kentucky football coaches all across the country to visit prospective Wildcats. As expected, many assistants have spent time in the Commonwealth and the state of Ohio.

On Wednesday Vince Marrow made multiple stops in his home state. The Big Dog dropped in to see a player he will be coaching on a day-to-day basis, tight end Tanner LeMaster, one of the first players to join Kentucky’s 2023 recruiting class.

Marrow also made a pitstop in Cincinnati to speak with one of the Wildcats’ top uncommitted targets, Trey Cornist. A product of Winton Woods, the same school that produced Mike Edwards and Chris Oats, Cornist is a three-star prospect in the On3 Consensus. After officially visiting in November, Kentucky could fill its two final running back sports with Cornist and Jamarion Wilcox.

In-between in-home visits, Marrow was in the Dayton metro to see an electric wide receiver commitment, Anthony Brown. Despite a second straight loss in the Division I State Finals, the shifty slot receiver put up some outstanding numbers this fall for Moe Douglass at Springfield High School. John Legend’s cousin caught 83 passes for 1,626 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2022.

Kentucky Active in Louisville

On the day UofL fans rejoiced the return of Jeff Brohm, Kentucky Blue was a mainstay in the city’s largest schools. Mark Perry, a former Lexington Catholic head coach, has been activated as a recruiter after the Wildcats parted ways with two assistant coaches. The former Kentucky quarterback visited Trinity, St. X, Ballard, Manual and Central.
