Handful of Kentucky Football Commits Impress Last Week
Not only was it a big weekend for the current Kentucky Wildcats football team, but the future of the program also performed well. Let’s dive into the handful of incoming UK commits who had big games for their high schools.
Avery Stuart Can P-L-A-Y
Avery Stuart came to play on Thursday night for Alabama Christian Academy. The Eagles won in a rout over Sumter Central 62-14. “Chaos” (excellent nickname) had two receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns. The four-star corner also shut down Sumter on the defensive side of the ball. ACA is located in Montgomery, AL which is known as a talent hub for football. Terrell Owens, LeeRoy Jordan, and current NFL running back Daniel Thomas all hail from Montgomery.
Stuart chose the Wildcats over Florida State, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Georgia Tech.
Grant Godfrey Impress on the Defensive Side
Grant Godfrey put up a monster stat line for the North Gwinnett Bulldogs on Friday. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound linebacker enjoyed 1.5 tackles, one solo, one assist, one sack, and a tackle for loss. Godfrey is from Suwannee, GA, yet never got an offer from Georgia. Mark your calendars for every Bulldog game with Godfrey in the Wildcat lineup.
The four-star recruit picked the Wildcats over Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Ole Miss.
Hometown Star is Dominating 4A
The first home-grown talent on the list Tommy Ziesmer has enjoyed an excellent season for the undefeated Boyle County Rebels. The Rebels are ranked #3 in the newest KSR Kentucky HS Football Rankings and are looking to capture the 4A Championship. When I was in attendance at the Battle for Boyle, Boyle County Coach Justin Haddix raved about Ziesmer, and rightfully so.
“They were talking trash all week, so you know it’s time to show out now; the score shows itself,” Ziesmer said after the thrashing of rival Danville.

It was easy to see why everyone loved Zesimer in Boyle. He’s got the personality of a star, and hopefully the game too.
Ziesmer recorded a TFL in a win over Bowling Green on Friday. This tackle was his 8th for loss on the year. Ziesmer decided to stay home in the Bluegrass. He left behind a Tennessee and West Virginia offer.
Jaremiah Anglin has been Wonderful this Year in Florida
Jeremiah Anglin had the best week of any of the Kentucky commits. Anglin is from Lake Wales, FL, a state with a ton of talent. I must admit, I jumped out of my seat at this hit. Anglin DOMINATED with two solo tackles, one assist, and an interception. There’s a long list of talent at the corner position currently on the roster; Anglin will fit right in.
With the speed and hit power that Anglin processes at the safety position, it’s easy to see how he can dominate in the SEC East. However, the Florida product also holds an offer from Nick Saban and Alabama.
