In one of his final times representing his home state at the high school level, the KHSAA all-time leading scorer did what he usually does: produce.

Kentucky signee Travis Perry took the floor in the 2024 Boys Kentucky All-Star Scrimmage at Louisville Eastern High School, a battle between the state’s Senior and Junior All-Stars. A lead-up to next week’s Kentucky-Indiana High School All-Star Classic in Lexington, Perry went for 18 points on 8-15 shooting while adding four steals, two rebounds and two assists in the blowout victory.

“To represent the state at the highest level on the high school level, it’s something that I was really excited about,” the KHSAA legend told KSR. “I’m still really excited about it, today was the first step of that, kind of getting together and beating up on the juniors a little bit and repaying them after what happened to us last year. That’s the goal. When you wear the blue and white (representing the state), you want to win. That’s what we want to do.”

He finished second on the team in scoring behind only Max Green, who put up a game-high 27 points on 11-19 shooting and 5-8 from three to go with six assists, three rebounds, one block and one steal. Quel’Ron House added 17 points, followed by Brady Shoulders with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

On the losing side, Zander Carter led the way with 20 points on 7-13 shooting, followed by Melo Boone with 16 and seven, then Maddox Huff with 15 and Eli Finley with 11 to round out double-figure scorers.

Next week’s Kentucky-Indiana High School All-Star Classic will be played on Saturday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET at Lexington Catholic High School.

One last opportunity to see an all-time talent represent Kentucky high school basketball before trading in his uniform for blue and white as a Wildcat in Lexington. This afternoon was a solid warm-up to that.
