Even though Reed is 7'2" and Ulis is 5'9", Ulis didn't back down, which came as no surprise to his teammates. "Not at all," Marcus Lee said. "Tyler Ulis is a pitbull at heart, so I knew he's not backing down from anybody." Dakari Johnson had a great line about the showdown after the game. "It was real funny because Tyler was like looking at his stomach talking," Dakari said. "It was real funny." "That's Tyler. His heart is bigger than his body shows." Tyler said his feistiness comes from his mother and growing up in Chicago. "Tyler's like that, he's a feisty guy. I know his mom too, she used to play. They're pretty intense." Legend has it that Ulis once got in a scuffle with DeMarcus Cousins during a recruiting trip. Ulis tried to downplay that famous story after the game, but Lee gave me the details. "Yes, I remember that very well," Lee said. "He was on his recruiting visit and they were arguing about something and DeMarcus tried to snatch the ball from Tyler and Tyler wasn't having it and they went at it. I wasn't stopping neither of them, so I sat back and watched." I don't blame him.
