Tre Mitchell will miss 2nd straight game, ruled out against LSU
Tonight against LSU, Kentucky men’s basketball will once again be without Tre Mitchell.
Mitchell, who did not play in the Wildcats’ most recent outing — a 70-59 win over Auburn on Saturday — will sit out against the Tigers down in Baton Rouge. Head coach John Calipari announced the news during his pregame radio show. Mitchell is dealing with a shoulder issue he suffered during the second half of Kentucky’s 75-63 victory over Ole Miss on Feb. 13.
“He’s making strides, he won’t play tonight,” Calipari said, adding that he’s slightly concerned about Mitchell’s conditioning and might need to bring him back slowly once he’s healthy enough to return.
