TV Teddy was trolling Louisville fans at Rupp Arena

Pat Kelsey‘s early tenure honeymoon may have ended at Rupp Arena on Thursday afternoon in the first game of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Louisville’s top-30 defense allowed Creighton to score 87 points, shoot 57 percent from the floor, and pour in 11 three-pointers. Meanwhile, Louisville stars Chucky Hepburn and Terrence Edwards Jr. needed 45 shot attempts to score 43 points. Sharpshooter Reyne Smith had to leave the game early with injury. Things got ugly when Creighton went on an 11-0 run to take control of the game in the first half.
The Blue Jays eventually extended the lead to 20 points before the first half ended. Greg McDermott‘s team was in full control in the second half. Kelsey then lost his cool when he picked up a technical in the second half. There was a moment when it looked like the former Charleston head coach was going to get tossed by official Brooks Wells. One Louisville fan immediately responded by throwing a water bottle on the Rupp Arena floor. More Louisville fans are expressing their frustrations with the officiating on social media. The fan base starving for their program’s first postseason win since 2017 also had to deal with Ted Valentine being Ted Valentine.

They call this man TV Teddy for a reason. You cannot make this stuff up.
The CBS cameras caught Valentine talking things out with Kelsey after the technical. The official was also apparently busy trolling Louisville fans in attendance. Louisville’s long losing streak at Rupp Arena has now been extended to seven games since beating Colorado State in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament (so would say that game didn’t happen). This fan base also had to deal with one of the biggest troll artists in college hoops.
The Cards had a tough day as an exciting season came to end quickly with double-digit losses to Duke and Creighton. The “ReviVille” finished the year 2-6 against non-con power conference foes and 20-3 against the ACC. TV Teddy joined in on the fun by rubbing it in.
The infamous official was probably so sorry.
