Butler, who averages 13.4 points per game this season, took quite the beating in Kentucky’s most recent outing against Texas A&M. He appeared to injure his shoulder at one point against the Aggies and was also accidentally kicked in the face. As for Carr, a nagging back injury has been lingering for the past couple of games and is something head coach Mark Pope is cautiously managing. Carr averages 11.4 points per game for the Wildcats.
As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide will be without Latrell Wrightsell Jr. and Houston Mallette while Derrion Reid is listed as questionable. Those three sat out Alabama’s last game, a home loss to Ole Miss.
Tipoff between No. 8 Kentucky and No. 4 Alabama is set for Saturday at noon EST on ESPN.
