Two Kentucky Wildcats Surprise in Final 2024 On3 Rankings
The 2024 recruiting cycle is nearing a conclusion. Before the final unsigned prospects put pen to paper next Wednesday on National Signing Day, On3 is releasing one final update to the On300 rankings. Five future Kentucky Wildcats made the final cut, including one big surprise.
If you’re asking yourself, ‘Why are they updating recruiting rankings after most players signed?‘ Unlike the high school basketball AAU circuit, the top football recruits in the country rarely get an opportunity to compete against one another. The All-American Bowls, specifically the practices leading into the all-star showcases, give scouts on final look at how the top-ranked players perform against one another under the bright spotlight.
One player who attended a showcase game is seeing his stock drop, while another new Wildcat has been a pleasant surprise.
Stock Falling: Brian Robinson
Brian Robinson is considered a top 100 recruit by three major recruiting services, making him one of the most prolific additions in Kentucky football history. Built like a Greek god, the workout warrior already looks like an SEC defensive lineman. An Under Armour All-American, almost everyone believes the best is yet to come from B-Rob, almost everyone.
The On3 rankings team is not buying Brian Robinson stock. He fell from No. 250 to No. 289 overall. The next closest recruiting service ranks him No. 96.

Stock Up: Cam Dooley
Cam Dooley was a mid-three-star recruit when he announced a commitment to Missouri over the summer. Vanderbilt and Kentucky were the other potential suitors, but his recruitment didn’t receive much traction. Dooley played for a small school in Alabama, splitting time on both sides of the line of scrimmage as Valley’s starting quarterback and safety.
Even though they lost the initial battle, Frank Buffano, Brad White, and the rest of the Kentucky coaching staff thought the juice was worth the squeeze. Dooley announced his commitment to Kentucky on the first day of the Early Signing Period and today he cracked the top 250 at No. 247 overall. The 6-foot-2 athlete also appeared in the Top 200 of 247 Sports’ final rankings.
Kentucky Wildcats in the Final On3 Recruiting Rankings
Terhyon Nichols (CB) 5-10.5, 185 | Withrow (Cincinnati, OH)
4-star: No. 113 overall, down 25 spots from No. 88
Cam Dooley (S) 6-2, 195 | Valley High School (Valley, AL)
4-star: No. 247 overall, previously unranked
Aba Selm (IOL) 6-4, 295 | Simon Kenton (Independence, KY)
4-star: No. 257 overall, up 40 spots from No. 297
Brian Robinson (EDGE) 6-5, 250 | Westerville North (Youngstown, OH)
4-star: No. 289 overall, down 39 spots from No. 250
Quaysheed Scott (CB) 6-foot, 185 | Marion (Marion, SC)
4-star: No. 296 overall, down 3 spots from No. 293
While B-Rob is an outlier in the wrong direction, On3 believes in Aba Selm and Quaysheed Scott more than any other recruiting service. Selm and Scott are outside of the top 500 in every recruiting service, yet they each appear in the On300.
