Tyler Herro ruled out for Game 4 of Eastern Conference Finals
The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are going through a physical series in the Eastern Conference Finals. After Saturday’s showdown saw multiple players go down with an injury, a key player for Miami will be unavailable on Monday night in Boston.
The Heat have ruled out Tyler Herro for Game 4.
Erik Spoelstra’s team is currently a banged-up group. Both Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler missed significant time in Game 3. P.J. Tucker missed most of Game 2, and Kyle Lowry did not return to the floor until Game 3. Meanwhile, the Celtics are also dealing with some injuries and health issues as Al Horford, Marcus Smart, and Robert Williams have all missed a game this series.
For Herro, 22, this is a disappointing development for the Sixth Man of the Year winner. The third-year pro posted a career-high in points (20.7), rebounds (5.0), assists (4.0), three-point percentage (39.9%), and minutes (32.6) during a productive regular season. The Kentucky product was a key part of Miami clinching home-court advantage in the East. However, the numbers have dipped some in the playoffs.

Through 14 playoff games, Herro is averaging 13.5 points and playing 26.7 minutes per game. The guard has been very efficient from two-point range hitting 52.7 percent on 7.9 attempts per game, but the three-point shot has taken a step back as Herro is shooting just 23.2 percent from deep on 4.9 attempts per night.
The Heat own a 2-1 series lead over the Celtics but could face a tough challenge in Boston for Monday’s game without Tyler Herro in the lineup. Miami will need another huge performance from Bam Adebayo after the Kentucky product went for 31 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in the huge 109-103 Heat victory on the road.
