Tyler Smith signs with the Turkish Basketball League
“He’s the reason for the teardrops on my baglama…”
Good news! It’s safe to leave the house again. If you’re like me, you have been hesitant to go out knowing that Tyler Smith is out there riding around under the influence with handguns and headbands. But fear no more, good people. Tyler Smith is taking his tattoos and teardrops overseas.
Bornova Belediye of the Turkish Basketball League signed Smith to a two-month contract. He will be playing alongside former UCLA star Josh Shipp and a bunch of Turkish gents whose names I can’t pronounce. Smith is replacing the injured Kedrick Brown, who was drafted 11th overall by the Celtics in 2001.
The two-month contract will allow the former Vol to be available for the NBA Draft on June 24 where he will likely go undrafted.
