Kentucky off a slow start in 2025. Slow starts typically don’t mean good things in high school recruiting. Multiple power conferences programs are still actively recruiting players committed to UK. The Cats lost their first commitment in the class on Tuesday night.

Douglas (Ga.) Paulding County offensive lineman Tyreek Jemison backed off his pledge to UK on Wednesday night.

Tyreek Jemison is currently the No. 576 overall player in the 2026 Rivals Industry Ranking. The high three-star recruit picked Kentucky over Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and multiple other power conference offers. The Yellow Jackets are making a big push for the in-state prospect.

Kentucky now has just one offensive line prospect remaining the 2026 high school class.
