The
regional hosts for the NCAA baseball tournament were announced this afternoon, and Kentucky was left out of the group who will have teams coming to visit for the first round of the tournament. There was reason to believe the Cats, who have been ranked in the top ten for much of the season, would be among the teams selected to host. However, their late season slide and loss to Mississippi State yesterday in the SEC tournament seem to have knocked them out of the running. South Carolina, LSU and Florida were selected as regional hosts from the SEC, with the full list looking like this:

Palo Alto, Calif. – *Stanford (37-16)

The top eight national seeds, first-round pairings and site assignments will be announced tomorrow at noon on ESPNU.
