Kentucky just pulled off its biggest win of the season on the road at Auburn. Will the Wildcats continue their late-season ascent, or hit a stumbling block at the PMAC? The oddsmakers in Las Vegas have weighed in on how they believe Kentucky vs. LSU will unfold Wednesday night.

Kentucky opens as a 4.5-point favorite at LSU with a total of 165.5 on FanDuel. KenPom projects an 84-80 Kentucky win and ESPN’s BPI gives the Wildcats a 59.9% chance to come away with a fourth-straight SEC win away from Rupp Arena.

Similar to John Calipari’s squad, Matt McMahon’s team enters the matchup fresh off its best win of the season. Facing a Top 15 South Carolina team in enemy territory, the Tigers rallied from 16 points down to win 64-63. It was just their third win in the last 10 games. LSU’s leading scorer, former Vanderbilt Commodore Jordan Wright (15.0 ppg.), hit the go-ahead free throws with just a few seconds remaining on the clock.

LSU is 11-14 Against the Spread (ATS) this season, but they have covered in back-to-back games and three of their last five. The under cashed in each of the last two games.

Kentucky was once an over machine. The defense stepped it up a notch last week, leading to a pair of wins for under-bettors. The Wildcats are 15-10 ATS this year with three covers in the last four games.

John Calipari has a 15-4 record against LSU, but the Wildcats’ last trip to Baton Rouge resulted in a loss. Sahvir Wheeler suffered an injury four minutes into the game, as Tari Eason scored 13 points to lead Will Wade’s 21st-ranked Tigers to a 65-60 victory over Kentucky in 2022.
