Four days away from the 2016 CBS Sports Classic in Las Vegas, Kentucky has re-signed a deal to remain in the CBS Sports Classic for three more years.
The best news? Kentucky gets another shot at UCLA next year. Even better news? We get to party on Bourbon Street before the game.
The 2017 CBS Sports Classic is against UCLA on Dec. 23 at the Smoothie King Center, home of the New Orleans Pelicans.
John Calipari said in a statement: “The CBS Sports Classic has quickly turned into one of the marquee events of the college basketball season,” head coach John Calipari said. “When you talk about this event, you’re talking about four of the best programs in college basketball. For an annually young team like ours, it’s a great learning opportunity as we end the nonconference season and gear up for league play.”
The venues for the 2018 and 2019 CBS Sports Classic have yet to be announced, but we know the opponents: UK has North Carolina in 2018 and Ohio State in 2019.
