Earlier this week, Kentucky women’s basketball spent some time at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital Mini Pro-Am with the PGA. While there, players, cheerleaders, and even Scratch the Cat played mini-golf with professional golfers and patients in the hospital.

Judging the pictures that the team shared on social media, it seemed like a lot of fun. Saniah Tyler, Cassidy Rowe, and Lexi Blue, were among the players that made an appearance at the Mini Pro-Am. Tanah Becker and Amelia Hassett also got involved in the action.

The ISCO Championship takes place July 11-14 at Champions at Keene Trace Golf Club. The Championship is the only PGA TOUR event in Kentucky, so for the team to have the chance to get involved in the fun is a pretty big deal.

The Mini Pro-Am took place on Tuesday, July 9 at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital. The event was meant to be a play off the real Pro-Am that began at the Keene Trace course on Wednesday. A source close to the program tells KSR the team was split in half — half went to the Pro-Am, and the other half will make an appearance at the ISCO Championship on Sunday, July 13.

At the Pro-Am, players were stationed at different putt-putt holes around the hospital. The children came through each of the holes and played mini-golf with the help of those players. The Wildcats also partnered with professional golfers competing in this weekend’s tournament.

Nothing warms my heart quite like this Kentucky Women’s Basketball team. So far, this offseason has been one for the books, and the players’ passion for their community is something that those impacted will never forget.
