University of Kentucky ranked 16th in 2022 athletics revenue, according to USA Today
The University of Kentucky was among the top earners in college athletics in 2022, according to the latest findings over at USA Today. The new financial report reveals the Southeastern Conference and Big Ten Conferences each topped two billion dollars in total revenue and that Kentucky ranked seventh within the SEC’s multi-billion dollar enterprise. The ‘Cats were sixteenth nationally at $159,079,024, two spots ahead of those over-spenders at Tennessee.
Private universities are not included because, you know, privacy.

Beer Money
Unrelated to USA Today’s report and any 2022 revenue, there is scuttlebutt that June 2023 had good first weekend for the books. According to KSR’s own Matt Jones, the school sold over one hundred thousand dollars in beers and seltzers over the course of the four-day NCAA Regional at Kentucky Proud Park.
