Somehow, we’re already about halfway through the 2024 high school football regular season. Here in the state of Kentucky, the vast majority of teams have already played four of the 10 games on their schedule before the playoffs begin in November.

With that in mind, the scouts and recruiting experts at On3 have spent the last several weeks evaluating the nation’s top talent. Their rankings team has been hard at work creating the fourth update of the year for the 2025 recruiting cycle, which they released on Monday. The latest On300 (which ranks the Top 300 players in the class) includes four Kentucky commits. Two of them did not see a change in their status while two others saw a drop in their ranking.

The Wildcats’ top-ranked commit is still RB Marquise Davis out of Ohio, although he saw a significant drop in his ranking from No. 65 to No. 135 overall. Meanwhile, in-state DL Javeon Campbell dropped from No. 137 to No. 144 overall. Two more in-state commits, EDGE Cedric Works and S Martels Carter, did not see their rankings change. Works is still No. 179 and Carter is still No. 282.

All four are considered four-star prospects.

With a change in On3’s rankings comes a change in the On3 Industry Ranking. Without making it too confusing, On3’s personal rankings are different than the On3 Industry Ranking. The former is just what the minds at On3 believe while the latter takes into account the rankings from On3, 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN.

The updated On3 Industry Rankings actually favor the future Wildcats more than On3’s own rankings. The four players mentioned above are all Top 200 recruits according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Additionally, four more commits check in between Nos. 201-500 while a fifth comes in just outside of the Top 500 at No. 505.

But none of Kentucky’s 17 class of 2025 commits saw a bigger jump in the updated On3 Industry Ranking than CB Demarcus Gardner. This time last week, he was ranked No. 704. But as of the time this article was posted, the Georgia product is up to No. 581.

You can see where all of the future Wildcats landed in the updated On3 Industry Ranking below. Kentucky’s class is currently ranked No. 23 in the nation and 12th in the loaded SEC.
