Utah State transfer Great Osobor schedules visit to Kentucky
One of the top-ranked players still available in the transfer portal has scheduled a visit to Kentucky.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Utah State transfer forward Great Osobor will take an official visit to Lexington. Osobor’s agent George S. Langberg confirms with KSR that the trip to UK will last from April 29 to May 1. It will be the first of four visits for the 6-foot-9, 250-pound big man, who will also stop at Louisville (May 1-3), Texas Tech (May 4-6), and Washington (May 7-9).
Tipton adds that while those four schools have arranged visits with Osobor, that is not necessarily his group of finalists.
A rising senior with one year of eligibility remaining, Osobor was named the Mountain West Player of the Year at Utah State this past season after averaging 17.7 points, nine rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.3 steals in 33.6 minutes per contest.

Before dominating at Utah State in 2023-24, Osobor was a developmental piece for two seasons at Montana State. He came off the bench as a freshman in 2021-22, averaging six points and 4.2 rebounds in 15 minutes per outing. A season later, Osobor was tabbed the Big Sky Top Reserve with per-game averages of 10.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and one assist in 19 minutes. He then followed head coach Danny Sprinkle to Utah State, helping lead the Aggies to the second round of the NCAA Tournament this season for the first time since 2001.
Originally from Spain before moving to England at age 12, Osobor played prep school basketball alongside Amari Williams, who officially transferred from Drexel to Kentucky on Tuesday, at Myerscough College Basketball Academy in the United Kingdom. The two even share the same agent. They would create quite the tandem in the paint for new head coach Mark Pope if Osobor is to join the Wildcats, as well.
