Penn State is surging for blue-chip safety Vaboue Toure
Kentucky wraps up a huge recruiting weekend on Sunday with double-digit official visitors departing Lexington. The rest won’t last long as the Cats have multiple targets scheduled to arrive on campus soon for mid-week official visits. Four-star safety Vaboue Toure was a player expected to make a trip to Lexington.
That might not be the case following Toure’s official visit to Penn State.
There were two Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) picks logged by Penn State insiders making the Nittany Lions the heavy, heavy favorite in this recruitment. Per the RPM, there is a 95.6 percent chance that the Big Ten program lands a commitment from Vaboue Toure.

The safety has additional trips planned to Kentucky and Oklahoma but those could be canceled if a commitment follows this latest visit to State College.

Kentucky has seven scholarship safeties on the 2023 roster, but two are entering senior seasons. Safety isn’t a huge position of concern, but it is a spot where the Wildcats need to add at least one quality option. UK will likely need to look elsewhere to fill the safety position but Raphael Dunn and Cam Dooley are emerging as potential options.
