Vince Marrow interviewed for head coach opening at Bowling Green

Vince Marrow‘s long offseason of being linked to potential jobs is not over yet. There was buzz that Louisville got hire Kentucky’s recruiting ace away. There was a report that Bill Belichick was interested in making Marrow a member of his first North Carolina staff. Marrow also received some interest in the Southern Miss head coach opening.
The 56-year-old has also interviewed for a MAC head coaching job. Football Scoop is reporting that Bowling Green has held job interviews with Vince Marrow, Mercer head coach Mike Jacobs, and Minnesota co-defensive coordinator Nick Monroe.
Scot Loeffler left the Falcons after six seasons at the helm to become the Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach. Bowling Green finished 27-41 (20-25) under Loeffler’s watch with three consecutive bowl game appearances from 2022-24. Bowling Green starting right tackle Alex Wollschlaeger transferred to Kentucky in December.
Vince Marrow has been on the Kentucky staff since 2013. The tight ends coach was one of the first hires made by Mark Stoops. Marrow has been a key part of Kentucky’s recruiting operation and plays a big role for this program in roster-building. The 13th-year assistant is set to make $1.3 million this year entering the final year of his contact. Bowling Green paid Loeffler $582,000 in 2024. Football Scoop expects Bowling Green to pay their new head coach more than that.
