Vince Marrow’s name often comes up during the offseason coaching carousel. This time the Big Dog was quick to shoot down a report about a potential departure.

This morning he began his day by sharing his recruiting plans, a visit to Louisville, Kentucky. The timing felt intentional. Yesterday UK staffer Mark Perry was in Louisville as the Cards announced Jeff Brohm would be their next head coach.

About 90 minutes later Cats Illustrated’s Justin Rowland said, “I expect Louisville to make a serious run at UK recruiting coordinator/TEs coach Vince Marrow. Brohm and Marrow do have some history.”

The dots could easily be connected. After all, Marrow was in Louisville recruiting. It wouldn’t take him long to stop in for a chit chat with the Cards’ new coach.

This time Vince Marrow was quick to shoot down the speculation. Within 25 minutes of Rowland’s report, future Kentucky tight end Jakob Dixon Tweeted out a picture of him with the Big Dog at PRP High School. KSR can confirm he spent the day recruiting and has no interest in reconnecting with Jeff Brohm at Louisville.

There have been many times throughout his tenure at Kentucky, the BBN has wondered if Vince Marrow will leave Lexington for a new opportunity. Most of the time that news comes from Matt Jones. KSR’s Fearless Leader believes the Big Dawg is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
