We interrupt this beatdown to inform you Dylan Canoville of Jackson State has, in fact, thrown a shoe during live game action against the Kentucky Wildcats.
Brandon Garrison was thrown a dump-off pass in transition for one of many easy baskets for UK against what is a very, very bad JSU team. Coming down the lane, Canoville — who lost his sneaker on the previous offensive possession and was carrying it while jogging down the floor — used the oldest trick in the book to stop the dunk attempt: just throw it at him.

The sneaker sailed into the first row while Garrison finished the dunk, the Kentucky forward clearly confused why a black team-issued shoe skipped across the floor as he added to the massive point total.
I’m no lip reader, but it doesn’t appear Garrison was thrilled he nearly got clocked in the dome by a flying object.
Anything to keep things interesting, I guess.
