Watch for Waka Flocka's return to Kroger Field for the 2025 season finale

As we count down to the college football season, there is a situation to monitor in Lexington around that mid-November game against Tennessee Tech. The Wildcats host the FCS opponent in the 2025 finale at Kroger Field on November 15, before closing out the season at Vanderbilt and at Louisville. Kickoff against the Golden Eagles is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Coincidentally, Waka Flocka Flame has a concert in Lexington on November 15, the night following Kentucky versus Tennessee Tech. The “Grove St. Party” singer takes the stage at Manchester Music Hall at 9 p.m., billed as an after-party to the football game across town.
Connecting the dots here, UK Athletics may already have Waka Flocka booked for the football game. If not, it should. After all, he sings the team’s unofficial anthem, and the last time he was in town, Kentucky beat Florida in Lexington for the first time since 1986. He was on the sideline for Trevin Wallace’s kick-six touchdown.

Kentucky shouldn’t need Waka Flocka’s magic to handle its business against Tennessee Tech. Still, keep an eye on that game for a potential Waka Flocka sighting. Kroger Field went nuts the last time he stopped in.

[Waka Flocka Flame rushed the field after Kentucky beat Florida]
“I felt like a Wildcat.”
Though he hails from Georgia, Waka Flocka Flame claims Big Blue Nation ever since Kentucky adopted his hit song during the South Carolina game in 2014.
He told SEC Network, “I felt like I grew up in Kentucky, the way the love was, the energy was and how everybody gravitated with each other. It felt like we were in the NFL. I felt like that was the Super Bowl. It was amazing.”
