Wall, Wall, Patterson, and Goodwill

I know you all are in a football state of mind (as am I even though I am relaxing on Rosemary Beach on a much needed vacation), but there are several nice stories about the basketball team floating about on the interwebs today. Let's take a look:

-People around Washington are lauding the fact that one Gilbert Arenas is willing to share the spotlight with our John Wall. I'll believe it when I see it. I still think the best thing for the Wiz and Wall's overall development is to trade that gun-toting cancer to another team. I don't trust desert wildcats.

-Ro Shiell (not to be confused with Ro Shambo) has a report on John Wall and his participation in the Rookie Transition Program. For my money, this is the best thing that the NBA does for their rookies and should be a much bigger deal. They literally tell every incoming crop of noobs about all the dangers and pitfalls of the sudden fame and fortune that the NBA brings. Those that don't heed the warnings shouldn't really get all that much pity.

-Proving the link between the Houston Rockets and China, Patrick Patterson has signed a deal with Peak Sports. Good move, Patrick. GROW THE BRAND. Starting in a country with over a billion people isn't a bad move.

- The beautiful Tamara Evans has a report on the off the court activities of the UK basketball team. The WKYT report is available below and is here to make you feel good about your UK basketball athletes. As if you needed another reason (and Hood sporting an Arroyo t-shirt only enhances his stature in my wife's eyes . . as long as he doesn't do any JTM commercials, I should be ok). Go Cats.
